The college arts auditions are looming. Your questions are mounting. What is a contemporary monologue? Where do I find the right one for me? How do I approach classical work? How do I present myself in the interview? I want to do musical theater. Do I have to act and dance? How do I prepare? How do I put myself on tape? Is my preparation from my own school enough? Or, you’re a high school junior who would like to plan ahead!
US Performing Arts offers students the original College Audition Workshop to give college-bound students the tools to approach their next step with confidence. This intensive College Audition Workshop will give you the tools to forge ahead with confidence next fall. Guided by top faculty members with years of experience from top-tier university theater departments to guide students with the wisdom and experience on both sides of the audition table. You will spend your days working with Acting, Voice and Music, and Movement and Dance Choreography instructors putting together the elements you will need for your college audition. They will take you through the process analyzing and training every detail that through their experiences they know will assist you towards your goal of getting into the college of your choice. When you leave the workshop you will have a toolbox from which to draw upon as you prepare yourself for the interview and audition process for colleges and universities.
