Kitty Swink, one of the most esteemed acting coaches in Southern California is who she is because she has been there and done that and her on going professional career tells it all. She has been seen in countless movie of the weeks and feature films and has guest starred on such shows as WITHOUT A TRACE, MONK, CROSSING JORDAN, JOAN OF ARCADIA, JUDGING AMY, ALIAS, NYPD BLUE, and many others. Audiences remember her as she was a recurring character on the Lifetime series, FOR THE PEOPLE. Her feature films credits include Paul Schrader’s PATTY HEARST, Phil Alden Robinson’s IN THE MOOD, and the diverse independent films of LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON, WAVE BABES and the festival hit BREATHING HARD. She will be seen on the screen this coming year in the the soon to be released teen comedy BOXBOARDERS and the movie THE WORKS.
Trained in the theater her diversity as an actress goes beyond the screen as she is a member of the Los Angeles award winning Matrix Theater Company where she has appeared on stage in the West Coast Premiere of BOLD GIRLS and in the highly successful DANGEROUS CORNER which received LA Drama Critics and Garland Awards and was nominated for the coveted Los Angeles Ovation Award. She is a member of the Classical ANTEAUS THEATRE COMPANY, where she participated in CLASSICSFEST 2006. A popular theater actress in Los Angeles she also has appeared in countless plays including LAST SUMMER IN BLUEFISH COVE at the Tiffany Theatre and HAMLET with the Uprising Theater Company. She appeared Off Broadway in New York in THE GREAT NEBULA IN ORION, AUGUSTUS DOES HIS BIT and THE LUGOSI TRILOGY and has played in regional theatres around the country, notably in the American Premiere of Billy Roche’s THE CAVALCADERS at The Florida Stage Company. Her teaching abilities are amazing and she has coached on such television series as DANGEROUS MINDS, Stephen Bochco’s TOTAL SECURITYand she coached the actors on the teen drama SOUTH OF NOWHERE and played the character of Rhonda for the first two seasons. In her off hours she works as a private acting coach for many of the industry’s youngest talent today. She is a former vice president of the SCREEN ACTORS GUILD.
