David Worth (Director)David will be teaching: Digital Film at the following locations: UCLA School of Theater, Film & Television Bio UCLA/TFT faculty member David Worth joins the UCLA Arts Camp/Workshop faculty in our Digital Film Workshops. Majoring in Motion Pictures at UCLA, David gained hands on experience in writing, photographing, directing and editing, while studying every film he could find, from D.W. Griffiths' INTOLERANCE to Stanley Kubricks' 2001. Influenced by the European New Wave, David achieved his reputation as a Director of Photography who can deliver a quality look on a modest budget. This and his love for John Ford westerns led him to working with Clint Eastwood on BRONCO BILLY, and ANY WHICH WAY YOU CAN, which received the Academy of Country Music Award as Picture of the Year and was one of the top grossing films of the decade for Warner Brothers. David has gone on to photograph BLOODSPORT and directed the motion picture KICKBOXER while at the same time doing several episodic television shows with Roy Scheider and Dennis Hopper. He continues to work on projects while teaching at Chapman University and the School of Cinema at USC, and working with our UCLA/TFT undergraduates on their senior films.
