Details

Broadway artists, professional faculty and students with a passion for singing join together for a six-day intensive training academy. This premiere program offers daily workshops in developing vocal technique, sight-reading, broadening vocal performance styles from classical and Broadway belt to pop, and the basics of acting for the singer. Classes provide group sessions as well as one-on-one coaching. interactive evening activities include workshops on how to sell the lyrics of a song, building vocal repertoire for auditions, and how to find and select new material to sing. This premiere program will conclude in a final performance for family and friends.

Students check-in between 1 and 3pm on the first day of camp.
Flights should arrive into Bradley International Airport on the first day of camp prior to 2pm.
Flights should depart from Bradley International Airport on the last day of camp after 7pm.
Airport transportation is available to and from Bradley International for $30 each way.

Program Directors

Benjamin L. Horen
Benjamin L. Horen recently made his Kennedy Center debut in Celebrate Broadway! with John Lithgow and Linda Eder at The Kennedy Center. He has performed such roles as Frederic in The Pirates of Penzance, Shroeder in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Cornelius in Hello, Dolly!, and Dick in Dames at Sea at The Huron Playhouse. Other theatre credits include Barrett in Titanic, with the Waterville Playshop, and Dick in The Boyfriend. He has also served as Assistant Musical Director for the production of Fiddler on the Roof.
