Details
Join dance professionals from Broadway and other
passionate aspiring Broadway gypsies in this six-day
intensive training academy. Dance is an essential
ingredient in the "triple threat" musical theater scene
today. This premiere program offers daily workshops
in dance disciplines such as jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop,
and musical theater dance styles. Students will focus
on technique from beginner to advanced.

Students check-in between 1 and 3pm on the first day of camp.
Flights should arrive into Bradley International Airport on the first day of camp prior to 2pm.
Flights should depart from Bradley International Airport on the last day of camp after 7pm.
Airport transportation is available to and from Bradley International for $30 each way.

Program Directors
Carol Schuberg, Program Director Carol Schuberg has performed on Broadway in Meet Me in St. Louis, and in the National tour of Cats, Promises, Promises, Tap Dance Kid, Barnum and Gigi. She has played Erma in Anything Goes, Sheila in A Chorus Line, Electra in Gypsy, Rose in Bye, Bye Birdie, and Conchalla in the The Late Henry Moss. She choreographed Avenue X for Cain Park, Two Gentlemen of Verona for the New Jersey Shakespeare Festival and Nine for New York University. She was Assistant Choreographer for Tony Stevens on Sweet Charity (for the Istanbul Opera), Sheba, Promises, Promises, Bye, Bye Birdie, The State Farm Industrials, and the King.com Industrial. She also assisted Michael Smuin for the film The Fantasticks, Ted Pappas on The Pajama Game for the New York City Opera, and Janet Watson on Anything Goes and Gypsy. Carol has taught theater dance, jazz, tap and ballet at New York University, the American Music and Dramatic Academy, Broadway Dance Center and Jefferson High School for the Performing Arts in Portland Oregon. She received her BFA in Ballet from the University of Utah.
Location Information
Hampshire College is a small, independent, coeducational liberal arts college located on 800 acres of meadow and wooded land in Amherst, Massachusetts. An integral part of the Five Colleges Consortium, comprised of Amherst College, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, and the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Hampshire College joins its sister school, UMass, Amherst, in a US Performing Arts program.
